Texas nearly the worst at testing and Governor Abbott extends the disaster declaration.

Texas has one of the lowest COVID-19 testing rate of any state in the country, according to the COVID-19 Tracking project, which calculates that Texas has tested just 4,000 people for every 1 million residents.

Governor Abbott has extended the state of Texas’ disaster declaration, allowing it to continue to have resources to fight the pandemic and protect against price gougers. Read more from WFAA.

Dallas County added 79 new cases on Sunday and four deaths due to COVID-19, and 107 cases on Saturday, reports The Dallas Morning News. 

Doctors are worrying that ventilators are harming patients more than helping, and some physicians are moving away from using them with their sickest patients, according to KERA.

In Tarrant County, just 19 new cases were added on Sunday, bringing the county’s total to over 800. Learn more from NBCDFW.
