I’ve spoken about Goop before, and how you should go there, and how you can totally afford more than you might think. Goop is a very real place in Highland Park Village right now — and will continue to be a very real presence until it takes its jade eggs and exclusive ‘Texas’ French linen tablecloth and vanishes into the night after June 3. But the pop up wouldn’t officially feel real until the Goop queen herself arrived to bless it (and Instagram it).

So that’s why last night, April 26, when Gwyneth Paltrow finally made an appearance and drank a margarita in the lovely, airy space, felt so special. The event, a goop x Prada fête benefitting the Genesis Women’s Shelter in Dallas, saw the pop up beautifully bedecked with organic flower arrangements, fresh carrot-adorned margs, and the bride-to-be sporting a crisp white Prada dress. I didn’t want to be rude and take a picture, but when my friend (an avid GP fan) went up to tell her, in all earnestness, how grateful he was that she had brought Goop to Dallas again, I took a sneaky shot to commemorate the moment. In the words of the random guy I showed the photo to later, she looked angelic.

But my slick iPhone skills aren’t what you want to see. So here are some party pics where people actually knew their photo was being taken.
